Total Fitouts Adelaide Central recently completed a remarkable project for Pop Up Health, owned and operated by Neville and Jane Pappin. Located in Dulwich Adelaide, the commercial medical fitout embodies a vision of a warm, calming, and open-plan interior that promotes productivity while offering tailored healthcare services across South Australia.

The project involved the transformation of an existing office complex into a haven of health and wellness. Total Fitouts Adelaide Central meticulously handled the commercial interior design, technical drawings, and commercial office fitout, ensuring every detail aligned with the client’s vision. Pop Up Health made a feature in the Total Fitouts International Conference 2023, winning best large design for 2022. Judge Bec Caldwell noted, “The project had appealing interior spaces and a lovely connection to the outdoors. This achievement is a testament to Amethyst Hudson’s exceptional design skills and their ability to create innovative and engaging spaces that meet the needs of their clients.” 

Despite the challenges posed by the building’s disuse over several years, including outdated services and mechanical systems, the team navigated through with expertise and finesse. In the vibrant interior of Pop Up Health’s commercial medical fitout, a dynamic colour palette sets the tone for an invigorating atmosphere. Bold hues splash across the walls, energising the space, while carefully integrated timber features, like a panel ceiling or accent wall, add warmth and sophistication, echoing the essence of the brand. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the area with natural light, seamlessly merging the indoors with the outdoors, while lush greenery adds a touch of nature’s serenity, enhancing the office’s neuroaesthetics.

Timber screens elegantly section off different areas, providing both privacy and aesthetic appeal, while on the outdoor communal balcony, colourful umbrellas were placed, inviting staff to unwind and rejuvenate. Nestled within the bustling workspace is a charming coffee shop, adorned with small subway white tiling, offering a cozy retreat for moments of relaxation. At the reception area, custom-branded LED signage creates a cohesive and memorable first impression, tying together the essence of Pop Up Health’s identity throughout the entire space.

One of the standout features of the project is the conversion of the existing roof structure into an outdoor communal balcony. This addition not only maximised the available space but also created a welcoming environment for staff to actively engage with nature, fostering a sense of well-being. Natural light floods the interior, complementing the warm and open ambience, while strategically placed open spaces encourage collaboration among staff members.

For the interior finishes, renowned brands such as National Tiles and PolyFlor were chosen, ensuring both quality and aesthetics. Creative Systems provided the furniture, contributing to the overall ambience of the space.

Despite the complexity of the project, Total Fitouts Adelaide Central completed the commercial interior design, construction, and commercial medical fitout in record time, with just one month dedicated to design and three months for construction. This efficient timeline speaks volumes about Total Fitout’s dedication and proficiency in delivering exceptional results.
