Total Fitouts are thrilled to share the success of our latest project, the IFA award-winning Molly & Bear retail shop fit out in Westfield Mt Gravatt. Our team at Total Fitouts Brisbane Inner North was tasked with creating a child-friendly and whimsical retail space that would showcase the store’s range of infants and young children’s clothing, books, toys, and accessories in a stylish and organised manner.

To achieve the desired aesthetic, the local shop fitting team focused on creating a calming yet playful atmosphere, with a colour palette of sage and pink that captures the essence of childhood. The flow of customer traffic was carefully considered to ensure that visitors would be able to easily navigate the space and view the products on display without feeling cluttered or overwhelmed.

Lighting was also a key element in the design, with LED strip lights, round feature lights, and neon light brand signage taking centre stage. The team installed wooden plank flooring to manage the high volume of foot traffic, and an oversized cartoon mural was added to enhance the whimsical feel of the space.

Our team of skilled carpenters and shopfitters designed and installed custom joinery featuring cheeky bear motifs, VJ panelling, and high-quality, bespoke wooden shelving. The service counter was the main feature of the fit out, framed with a curved wooden bulkhead, down lights, custom signs, and a beautiful, handcrafted servery counter. Hundreds of children’s toys, games, and accessories are now artfully displayed on the shelves.

Throughout the project, our team worked closely with Molly & Bear to ensure that their vision for the space was realized while also adhering to budget and timeline constraints. We are proud to have delivered a quality, quirky, and pastel-inspired retail shop fit out within a shopping centre environment.

The beautiful color palette and bespoke signage at the entrance of the store instantly capture the attention of passersby, while the custom joinery showcases the craftsmanship of our talented team. We are delighted with the final result and confident that it will help drive foot traffic and sales for Molly & Bear for years to come.

Molly and Bear were also winners at the 2024 Interior Fitout Association Awards, earning the Best Retail Interior Fitout Award for projects up to $150K. This accolade was secured by shopfit experts Total Fitouts Brisbane Inner North for their exceptional work on the Molly and Bear commercial retail fit out.
