Total Fitouts Sunshine Coast North recently completed a commercial medical fitout project for Suncoast Skin, a premium skin treatment centre located in the heart of Coolum Beach on the Sunshine Coast. Led by the skilled shop fit team, the project aimed to transform an empty commercial tenancy into a coastal-inspired space with a neutral colour palette and a modern touch. Suncoast Skin offers a comprehensive range of services, including skin cancer checks, skin cancer surgery, skin health assessments, bespoke product recommendations, and non-surgical cosmetic enhancements.

The scope of the project included designing a welcoming reception area, a comfortable waiting area, multiple treatment rooms, a kitchenette, and convenient amenities. Suncoast Skin’s interior design concept featured wood tones and tile features to create a coastal ambience with a modern flair. The design process involved collaboration with external designers, with Total Fitouts Sunshine Coast North entrusted to bring the vision to life through the fitout.

The front section of the medical fitout boasts an inviting open entryway that leads into the welcoming reception and waiting area. The reception counter is a focal point, featuring exquisite white tiling with a bright LED strip lighting wrapping around the bottom, adding an element of sophistication. Circular pendant lights further enhance the lighting, while a strategically placed large blue painting adds a vibrant pop of colour. 

The Total Fitouts Sunshine Coast North team said, “To create a sense of privacy and demarcate the waiting and reception area, a custom timber frame was thoughtfully incorporated. Comfortable wooden rattan chairs and greenery were thoughtfully placed in the waiting area as well to provide a cozy and inviting space for clients.” 

To create a more spacious feel, a large mirror is strategically placed, and wooden sliding doors with black handles are used throughout the fitout, including in the main reception area.

The team of skilled carpenters delivered a high-quality medical fitout, characterised by wood timber and neutral features, complemented by colourful paintings throughout, creating a modern and fun coastal environment. The treatment rooms feature high-quality equipment and a circular lamp in the corner near the strategically placed sink, providing soft lighting during treatments to enhance the client experience. Terrazzo tiling is thoughtfully used throughout the treatment rooms, contributing to the coastal theme. The kitchenette showcases more terrazzo tiling on the splashback, paired with wooden cabinetry underneath. LED strip lighting is thoughtfully placed along the top of the splashback, illuminating the space effectively. To complete the overall ambience, greenery and colourful paintings are thoughtfully placed throughout the rooms, enhancing the warmth and welcoming feel of the space.
