Total Fitouts Sydney Inner West recently completed a commercial hospitality fitout for Jasmin One, located on Great North Road in the bustling area of Five Dock. The client sought a commercial design that stood out from the typical restaurant aesthetic, opting for a Middle Eastern-inspired space featuring arches and a cohesive green and brown colour scheme. The design incorporated custom-made banquette seating, green tiled bar fronts, and light wood tones, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements Jasmine One’s focus on Lebanese cuisine.
The project scope of the commercial fitout included a comprehensive renovation of the front-of-house dining area and an extension of the back-of-house to maximise space. Key elements of the commercial hospitality fit out included tiling, wall treatments, kitchen space extension, joinery bar and storage units, and custom-made banquette seating. A standout feature of the commercial design is the arches behind the banquette seating, adding a touch of Middle Eastern elegance to the space.
The commercial design features of Jasmin One showcase a harmonious blend of Middle Eastern inspiration and modern elegance. The long, custom-made banquette seating with a deep green finish pairs beautifully with light wooden tables and chairs. The strategic layout allowed for accommodating 33 patrons, exceeding the customer’s minimum requirement of 25 seats. The seating also creates a cozy and inviting dining environment. The pendant lights above the dining area add a warm and welcoming glow, enhancing the overall ambience.

The bar’s upper shelving features light wood tones, offering a subtle contrast while maintaining a cohesive design. The light wood shelves are neatly organised, holding glassware and packaged goods, adding to the restaurant’s practical yet stylish aesthetic. The combination of green tiles, light wood, and soft lighting creates a fresh and contemporary Middle Eastern-inspired dining space within the commercial hospitality fitout that is both functional and visually appealing.
To achieve the desired look and functionality, various high-quality suppliers were engaged, including National Tiles, Caesarstone, and Laminex. The commercial interior design was crafted by VA Studios, an external design firm. The timeline for the project was tight, with 2 weeks allocated for design and 4 weeks for on-site work. During the execution, there were some challenges with subcontractors, particularly due to working with new trades and not vetting their work thoroughly. Despite the challenges, the project was completed to a high standard, delivered on time, and within budget.
The final result is a beautifully renovated restaurant that reflects the rich cultural heritage of Lebanese cuisine through its commercial design. The efficient use of space and the harmonious colour scheme have created a welcoming environment for patrons, making Jasmin One a standout destination on Great North Road. By overcoming challenges and adhering to a strict timeline, Total Fitouts Sydney Inner West successfully delivered a project that meets and exceeds the client’s expectations, enhancing both the aesthetic and functional aspects of the restaurant.
