The client, Museums Victoria, wanted to create a modern café that celebrated the space’s heritage elements while complementing the café’s home, Scienceworks Museum. A fitout that could survive heavy-duty foot traffic was also a must, as was improving service and flow while highlighting the buildings existing industrial features.
The result? The completed cafe is an impressive visual celebration of stunning polished concrete floors, original brickwork, and industrial features that balance superbly with its contemporary design and oak laminate finishes.
