Total Fitouts Adelaide South embarked on a captivating commercial hospitality fitout project for Oakberry Glenelg, situated in Glenelg, SA, just south of Adelaide Central. The aim of the fitout was to transform an empty commercial tenancy into an on-brand and colourful space, providing a welcoming environment for customers seeking the infamous acai. Oakberry Glenelg specialises in offering delightful and refreshing açai bowls and smoothies, catering to health-conscious customers seeking delicious and nutritious treats.
The scope of the project included various key areas, including a visually appealing entrance, a comfortable dining section, a fully equipped kitchen, a counter area, and essential amenities. Oakberry Glenelg’s design incorporates on-brand signage, a beautiful art mural and ample seating. Total Fitouts Adelaide South skillfully integrated the client’s vision, ensuring a seamless and visually stunning execution.
The entrance design was carefully crafted to entice and welcome customers, featuring an eye-catching bespoke sign that resonates with Oakberry’s brand identity. Floor-to-ceiling glass was installed to allow customers to view the space from the outside and make the space feel more open and let natural light flood in. The dining area exudes a lively and refreshing ambience, with carefully chosen tables and stool seating to ensure a pleasant experience for customers. On the left side of the commercial hospitality fitout space, a large custom-drawn art mural is painted to add a pop of colour and match with other Oakberry stores as a beautiful focal point of the build.
In the heart of the fitout, the fully equipped kitchen enables Oakberry Glenelg to deliver its signature açai bowls and smoothies to perfection. Thoughtful consideration was given to the functional layout, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
The counter area serves as a focal point, showcasing a delightful display of Oakberry’s offerings. Custom VJ panelling is utilised, similar to other Oakberry stores to allow flow across other stores and to break up the space. Large TV screens are placed above the counter to showcase the Oakberry branding. A glass-encased station is carefully designed to allow customers to point to chosen toppings and watch as the staff put their acai together, making it interactive for everyone. The counter features a white concrete benchtop to add some neutral tones and contrast to the bright mural and purple Oakberry branding.
