Guylian Belgian Chocolate Café

Guylian Belgian Chocolate Cafe, located in Perth’s CBD Western Australia was brought to life by Stuart and the Total Fitouts Perth team. The extensive, heritage listed, commercial hospitality fitout (originally one, oversized, retail space) was skilfully transformed into two commercial spaces by Stuart and his team of shop fitting professionals.

The technical, high-end heritage restoration was a masterpiece of craftsmanship and traditional Italian style. Mouldings, ceiling bulkheads and cornices were restored by hand. Fixtures and fittings were imported from Italy including a top end coffee machine, chandeliers, and tiles. Joinery was also imported as was the leather seating and marble Calcutta bench top. The feature bench top was 8m in length, hand selected from huge slabs and lovingly installed by Stuart and the commercial fit out team.

Total FItouts Perth Director Stuart says, “The job was a technical and challenging but allowed us to showcase our craftsmanship and attention to detail. My favourite elements were the Italian mosaic tiles and Hallam direct stick hardwood herringbone flooring. The chocolate café showcased WA’s first ever double glazed fridge cake display.” 

The talented commercial shopfitting team built an antiquated, practical space, where clients can indulge in the Guliyan chocolate experience in comfort. Custom hardwood joinery, soft lighting, and a rich colour palette were key design requirements. As were the subtle, back lit, brand signage and feature pendant lights.

The Total Fitouts Perth team expertly managed the complete construct and build project, delivering bespoke touches, custom timber joinery, mood lighting and high-end finishes. The result another memorable hospitality fit out for the Total Fitouts local team of fit out professionals.
